The English Language Arts Program in the Windsor Central Supervisory Union immerses students in the process of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. These processes are essential tools for communication, for self-discovery, and for knowledge acquisition. We expect all students to become life-long, independent and interdependent learners who can use language to communicate, to stimulate the imagination, and to construct meaning. When students engage with and respond to a variety of literature, they develop an awareness of the human condition, gain empathy, and discover a sense of personal empowerment that allows them to become active participants in society.
